Little Washington

I spent the day in Little Washington; not a small suburb of Washington, DC but Washington, North Carolina, about two hours inland from where I live. We call it Little Washington...just because. I had forgotten what a beautiful southern town this is. The streets are lined with freshly painted bungalows and the main street is chock full of fun shops, galleries and great places to satisfy your hunger pains.

I am pleased to announce that I am now represented by River Walk Gallery in this sweet little town. Today I delivered my work while mauve-bottomed clouds escorted me through fields and farms on back roads. The gallery is quite charming. What I admired is the variety of work of course, but mostly I appreciated the consistency in quality in every piece, whether it be jewelry, pottery or painting. Every artist represented was highly accomplished in his or her medium. And I found the coolest skull necklace to take home with me.

If you're ever in this part of the state, don't just rush by on the way to the beach. Take some time to explore all this cool town has to offer. And stop in the River Walk Gallery and choose a piece of exquisite art to bring home.

I've been offered a show of my cloudscapes and mineral paintings for the month of May 2015. It's going to be a very productive winter.
