Winter Solstice

The Winter Solstice is here, blanketing the world with magic and enchantment, encouraging one to contemplate the beginning of the winter season and the rebirth of the sun. On this, the oldest celebration known to man and the longest night of the year, I wish you all a cozy night filled with peace and a dusting of magic.

A Roseta Spoonbill in the canal near us.I had never seen one in the wild, only in pictures, hubby had never seen one.He was rooting around in the water, since he is a wader, for his meal, along w/a white crane.Where do they get those skinny legs from?
    Happy New Year!
