A Hummer of a Summer

Everywhere I go, from Alligator River Refuge to my pergola at The Crooked Little House, hummingbirds abound, flitting from blossom to blossom and branch to branch.

You can expect to see more paintings of these little jewels from me in the near future. This is the newest, also available as a greeting card from my Between Heaven and Earth line.

  1. So lovely! I only catch a quick glimpse of the hummer who comes to our feeder - doesn't stay long so maybe not the best feeder? Worked well last year, though...I think the hummers are behaving differently this year in our area. Have a wonderful Sunday!

  2. Thanks Rhonda. This is the first year I've seen them perching. Usually they just flit about. Even at Alligator River the other night I got lots of pics and sketches of one perched up on a snag, much higher than I've ever seen one before.

    Enjoy your weekend too!
